My client a leading multinational energy company over 90,000 employees and operations in more than 130 countries. Engaged in all aspects of the petroleum industry, including Upstream operations (oil and gas exploration, development and production, LNG) and Downstream operations (refining, marketing and the trading and shipping of crude oil and petroleum products).
My client is looking for a Head of Geology for E&P in Syria/Syrie. To head its multi-discipline and multi-cultural Geo sciences Team based in Damascus. Particular attention will be given to Health Security and Environment motivation which are both important focuses for the company.

***Your Experience/Qualifications/Capabilities:
As Head of Geophysics working for Total E&P Syria/Syrie your main responsibilities:
- Be in charge of seismic studies over our fields (recommendation supervision acquisition processing interpretation).
- Be Fluent in English Arabic & French
- Educated to at least Degree Level in Earth Sciences or have equivalent relevant qualification. EURO/US/CAN/AUS education preferred but not essential.
- Coordinate and validate all geophysical interpretation.
- Launch all studies required for a better definition of geophysical objectives (contractors or headquarters): supervision and final validation.
- Ensure consistency of the structural interpretations (internal and external).
- During drilling campaigns, participates to the redaction of the prognosis report and final well reports.
- Coordinate and follow up the Call for Tenders related to Geophysical activities (acquisition, processing)
- Manage the geophysical database
- Present projects to the validation committees to get headquarter's approval and present to the National Company.
- Participate to the non operated asset follow up.
- Ensure the training of local team
Management responsibilities: 4-10 engineers and technicians.
